Where does the soul’s goes after the departure from physical body? What is the importance of 7 realms?
After the departures from the psychical body, the soul travel to the spiritual realm, depending on the karma. Realms are the stages in the spiritual world. There are 7 realms ranging from 1 to 7 and there are various sub realms in each of the realm. Each such realm still has various sub- realms too. The soul’s deeds and karma in the physical world decides to which realm the soul need to move once being free from the physical bondage. If the karmic effect is bad and there is a karmic debt then the soul will move to the lower realm of either 1,2,3 or 4. These are the lower realms and in these realms those souls will be tormented and have to self-purify themselves in order to move to a higher realm. Once they attain the higher realm or those who are so purified in the physical world with their deeds or karma directly moves to the higher level thereby enabling them to have peace and tranquility. Through the good deeds and the prayers and sacraments by the family members the soul can moves from lower realm to another realm of higher stage thereby enabling them to attain the highest realm of seventh stage to attain eternal peace. Until that time through each realm the soul goes through the process of cyclic rebirth and themselves getting purified until they reached the final stage.
